Access Vision agreement to expire

Pennfield Township announced today that its agreement with Access Vision will expire on July 1, 2010.

Access Vision taped for broadcast Township Board meetings, Township Planning Commission meetings and high school sports for play on channels 17 and 917 for Comcast Cablevision subscribers (AT&T U-verse and satellite dish subsribers do not currently have access to Access Vision channels).

Township Board meetings will now be taped by students of Pennfield High School beginning in September 2010. These meetings will be then be posted on the Township website for viewing (anyone with an internet connection will be able to view).

"Unfortunately, providing Access Vision over $40,000.00 per year is no longer a financial option in this tough economy. A majority of our limited revenue is needed for continuation of Police and Fiure services" stated Pennfield Township Supervisor Rob Behnke. "We appreciate all the efforts of the Acess Vision staff for the past five (5) years".
