Township to partner with the City of Battle Creek for demolish of seven (7) properties

Pennfield Township will partner with the City of Battle Creek for the purposes of obtaining bids for the demolition of seven (7) properties in Pennfield Township. This will be the first time Pennfield Township has ever had to demolish dangerous buildings.

The Township Board anticipates that it will review the bids at its July 13, 2010 meeting.

According to Pennfield Township Supervisor Rob Behnke the Township will save dollars save "By partnering with the City of Battle Creek we will save taxpayers dollars by not having to reinvent the wheel. The City of Battle Creek has been outstanding to work with on this important issue."
