Tim Smith

Fire Chief Tim Smith started with Pennfield Fire Department in 1981. Tim was promoted to Lieutenant in 1982, then to Captain in 1991. After taking on the role of interim Fire Chief, he was officially promoted to Fire Chief in 2004.

Hire Date: 1981

Certifications: Firefighter I & II, Fire Officer I, Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, Medical First Responder, Drivers Certification (FM 123), IS-00100, IS-00200, IS-00700, IS-00800, and Fire Ground Commander. Chief Smith has continued education in Arson Investigation, Natural Gas Emergencies, Incident Command, Vehicle Extrication, Water Relay and Tank Operations, Agricultural Accident Rescue, and Ice Rescue.
