Township Downtown Development Authority - Pennfield Charter Township

On May 12, 2009, the Pennfield Township Board adopted Pennfield Township Code of Ordinance No. 120-05-09 which created the Pennfield Charter Township Downtown Development Authority (PCTDDA). Among other things, the purpose of the authority is to make plans for the development of an area of the township, including the acquisition of land or its improvement, restoration, maintenance and operation, including public facitilties. Its activities may be financed by donations, taxation (when authorized by the township board and the electors), revenues from the development, tax increment financing and other sources. Tax increment financing is pledging taxes of other authorized units upon the increasing value of the improvements made by the authority.

Beginning in 2010, the PCTDDA Board will meet on the 3rd Monday of each at 6:00pm at the Pennfield Township Office Annex. All meetings are open to the public.
